We are currently seeking experienced New York–based crew members to join Broadcasting 101, a student-led mockumentary comedy proof-of-concept pilot. LOGLINE: In this mockumentary-style workplace comedy, Preston, a naively optimistic teen filmmaker, struggles to lead the members of his chaotic, misfit high school broadcasting program through technical disasters, school rivalries, and the uphill battle of proving that a group of amateur students can create something great—despite constant production mishaps and the everyday drama of adolescence. OPEN POSITIONS: Production Designer Costume Designer Wardrobe Set Dressers Hair & Makeup Department Head SFX Supervisor Sound Mixer Sound Utility Catering Coordinator Craft Services Transportation Coordinator On-Set Editor REQUIREMENTS: Must be New York local (or able to work as a local hire) Prior on-set experience required Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment ABOUT THE PROJECT: Broadcasting 101 is a character-driven mockumentary comedy that blends awkward humor with grounded, heartfelt moments inside a chaotic high school broadcasting program. While the series leans into absurdity and production chaos, it ultimately explores ambition, leadership, and the unexpected sense of family that forms within the program. This is a student-led, low-budget proof-of-concept pilot, planned for festival submission and future pitching to networks and industry partners. These are all UNPAID positions, and we are looking for NEW YORK LOCAL HIRES ONLY. We are committed to maintaining a professional, collaborative set and creating a strong portfolio piece for all involved. LOCATION: Bellmore, NY (Long Island) TO APPLY: Please send your resume, portfolio, and relevant experience to avafrommell@gmail.com with the subject line: “[ROLE] — Broadcasting 101 Crew”
