What's new

Changes to IndieCrew, newest first. If something feels different, this is why.

  1. A fuller sidebar, and some fixes

    For crewFor producers

    • The sidebar now has everything in one place: finding work, hiring crew, and your own profile, messages and settings.
    • Your profile no longer opens with an empty jobs card if you haven't posted one.
    • Job, organization and login pages now have the site menu at the top.
    • Fixed headings that were hard to read on some computers, and blog posts that showed formatting symbols.
  2. Applicants, sorted into stages

    For producers

    • Your applicants sort into New, Shortlisted, Hired and Not a fit, with a count on each.
    • Star someone to shortlist them, and leave yourself a private note.
    • Hiring and passing on someone both ask first, and tell you exactly who gets a message.
    • If your job belongs to an organization, your teammates can open Applicants too.

  3. One job board, easier to browse

    For crewFor producers

    • Click a job and it opens beside the list, so you can compare jobs without losing your place.
    • Filter by role, location, pay and project type, and sort by newest, most active or best match.
    • Each job shows when it was posted and how many people applied.
    • Hot Jobs and Recommended now live in the sort menu.

  4. Jobs close, reopen and wrap

    For crewFor producers

    • You can apply to a job right up to its last shoot day, even once it has started.
    • Producers can close a job and reopen it later. People still waiting are told when it closes.
    • A job wraps the day after it ends, and both sides are asked to rate each other. No more marking jobs complete.
    • Recently wrapped jobs stay on the board for 60 days, so you can see what gets made here.

  5. See where your applications stand

    For crew

    • A new Applications page shows everything you've applied to: Active, Hired and Past.
    • You can see when you've been shortlisted, and you hear when a role is filled or you're not selected, instead of waiting in silence.

  6. Job alerts

    For crew

    • Search the board, flip on the alert, and we'll email you new matching jobs once a day.
